Service Starting in October, Expected to Promote Resource Circulation and Reduce Waste

On the 7th, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk signed a business agreement with 'Gatda,' the developer of the 'Bbaegi' platform, at City Hall to introduce a convenient large waste disposal service.

Gumi City Signs Agreement for Large Waste Easy Disposal Service 'Ppaegi' Gumi City, which signed a business agreement for the large waste online simple disposal service, and 'Gatda', the developer of the 'Bbaegi' platform.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Kim Jang-ho, Gatda CEO Ko Jae-sung, and other officials. They agreed to actively cooperate for the stable promotion of the large waste convenient disposal service and plan to provide the service starting in October after a preparation period involving tasks such as creating collection area maps and payment module development.

With this agreement, users can simply attach a photo via the 'Bbaegi' app on their smartphones or website, pay the fee, and dispose of large waste items in front of their homes for collection. This service resolves the inconvenience of the offline method, which required purchasing and attaching stickers at designated sales points (such as marts and convenience stores). For citizens who have difficulty using smartphones, the existing sticker sales and attachment method will continue to operate in parallel.

Additionally, the paid transportation service called 'Naeryeodeurim' will make it easier for single-person households and others to dispose of heavy items. The 'Used Goods Purchase' service will promote the circulation of used goods through collaboration with local small business owners and secondhand dealers, contributing to increased recycling rates and resource circulation.

Mayor Kim Jang-ho stated, "We expect this service introduction to alleviate citizens' inconveniences and help reduce waste through improved recycling rates." He added, "We will continue to strive to enable citizens to conveniently use administrative services."
