Gyeongju City has selected seven local small and strong enterprises to boost the pride of hometown companies and discover businesses with high growth potential.
On the 9th, Gyeongju City announced that it had finalized the selection of seven 'Gyeongju City Golden Companies' at the final evaluation held on the 4th at the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center.
Employees of Gyeongju City are visiting a company in downtown Gyeongju to conduct an on-site inspection for the selection of a Golden Company.
'Gyeongju City Golden Companies' refers to companies shining like gold, in line with the slogan Golden City Gyeongju, and is part of a newly introduced local small and strong enterprise development project this year.
In particular, the selection reflects Gyeongju City's strong commitment to providing generous support to the selected companies and helping them grow into key local enterprises.
To ensure a fair selection process, Gyeongju City received applications from 14 companies through a recruitment announcement from March to April, then narrowed down to three candidate companies through document and eligibility screening.
After on-site verification, 10 companies participated in the final presentation evaluation, and ultimately seven companies were selected. The seven Golden Companies are Daeseung Co., Ltd., Daehyun Industrial Co., Ltd., Myeongshin Precision Co., Ltd., SM Metal Co., Ltd., Daesan Metal Co., Ltd., Dongseong Hightech Co., Ltd., and Shinil Hightech Co., Ltd.
The selected companies will receive a Golden Company designation certificate and a Golden Company plaque, along with customized project funding of 10 million KRW annually for up to three years.
Additionally, they will receive preferential treatment for Gyeongju City's small and medium enterprise working capital loans, which provide up to 500 million KRW, and will be given priority opportunities to participate in SME support projects implemented by Gyeongju City. Gyeongju City plans to concentrate all available administrative resources to ensure the selected companies receive various benefits.
Mayor Ju Nak-young of Gyeongju City emphasized, "I hope the companies selected as Golden Companies will become golden enterprises that shine and bring pride to Gyeongju City," and added, "We will provide maximum support for the growth of the selected companies."
