Drink Clean Tap Water with Confidence
On the 7th, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the legal water quality test results for five water purification plants, including the Eup purification plant, were all judged to be 'suitable' in all items of drinking water quality standards.
The county conducts water quality tests on six items daily, seven items weekly, 60 items monthly, and 11 items quarterly in accordance with the Water Supply Act and regulations on drinking water quality standards, continuously monitoring the quality of tap water.
In addition, regular water quality tests are conducted quarterly on 93 village water supply systems and small-scale water facilities in areas not supplied by the local water supply system.
All results were also judged to be 'suitable,' confirming thorough water quality management.
Detailed water quality test results can be checked anytime on the National Waterworks Information System and the Hwasun-gun website.
Furthermore, the county is implementing the 'Our Home Tap Water Safety Check Program,' which provides free testing of household tap water quality, aiming to resolve residents' concerns about tap water and enhance trust in drinking water.
A county official stated, "We will do our best to manage the water quality and facilities of purification plants to supply clean tap water that residents can trust and drink."
