Review of 16 Agenda Items Including the 2nd Supplementary Budget Revenue and Expenditure Proposal
The Muan County Council in Jeollanam-do (Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun) announced that it has opened the 288th extraordinary session for an eight-day schedule from the 7th to the 14th.
During this extraordinary session, the council will review four bills proposed by council members, including the ordinance on the systematic development of offshore wind energy in Muan County, as well as 12 agenda items submitted by the executive branch, such as the 2023 second supplementary budget for revenue and expenditure and the ordinance on supporting the revitalization of the Muan Agricultural and Industrial Complex.

At the first plenary session on the day, the council resolved matters including the determination of the session period and the formation of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee (Chairman Councilor Park Ssang-bae). Additionally, Im Yoon-taek, Chair of the Administrative, Cultural, and Welfare Committee, made a five-minute free speech proposing suggestions for the designation of a legal cultural city.
The main schedule includes listening to explanations and voting on ordinance proposals in each standing committee over three days starting from the 10th, as well as preliminary review of the supplementary budget. On the 13th, the Budget and Accounts Special Committee will conduct the main review of the supplementary budget.
A council official stated, “On the 14th, the second plenary session will be convened to make the final decisions on the matters reviewed and approved by the standing and special committees, concluding this extraordinary session.”
