Currently, the Promotion Agency, which holds 50,000 strains of microorganisms, has been selected by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs as a microbial hub institution in the Green Bio industry.
To attract various external Green Bio companies to Sunchang-gun by utilizing the microbial strains it possesses, a business agreement ceremony was recently held among E&Korea (CEO Choi Jeonghwan), Dam-eum Co., Ltd., and the Promotion Agency.
This agreement was prepared to expand E&Korea's Green Bio business and promote mutual growth with the local community. On this day, the institutions promised to cooperate in joint research and development and in developing marine harmful microorganism control technology related to seaweed farming using Sunchang-gun's microbial resources, or functional food product development based on fermented ginseng.
Meanwhile, starting from this agreement ceremony, it is expected that various Green Bio-related companies nationwide or prospective startups preparing for new ventures will flock to Sunchang-gun.
