"Only 20,000 Won for an Interview and MBTI Test?"... Wedding Guest Part-Time Job Posting Sparks Outrage

A job posting for wedding guest part-time work offering 20,000 won per day is causing controversy due to its strict conditions.

Mr. A explained the reason for recruiting guests, saying, "I did not attend university and have been working since I was 20, so gradually my close friends disappeared, and I don't participate in gatherings, so I have no acquaintances to invite to the wedding."

The eligibility requirement is being in your 20s regardless of gender. However, Mr. A listed preferred qualifications such as △experience as a wedding guest part-timer △good interpersonal skills △neat and tidy appearance.

He also requested personal information including name, age, gender, phone number, and even MBTI (personality type test) type. He added that guests would be selected after an interview.

He stated, "The wedding will be on either August 27 or September 3. The venue will be disclosed to those who pass," and added, "The pay is 20,000 won per day. Transportation costs are included, but meal tickets will not be provided."

Netizens criticized the strict conditions compared to the low pay. Comments included, "Shouldn't they at least provide meal tickets?", "Why hold interviews when paying only 20,000 won?", and "What’s the reason for checking MBTI?"

One netizen said, "I often do guest part-time jobs, and usually they pay around 20,000 won," adding, "Holding interviews and not providing meals for 20,000 won is a bit much."

Meanwhile, wedding guest part-time jobs are increasing as more engaged couples seek to avoid empty weddings. Most are arranged through agencies, with daily wages reportedly ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 won.
