Songpa-gu Launches Tourism Souvenirs Using New City Brand Seok-Suk Seo, Mayor of Songpa-gu, is holding and explaining the HahaHoho tourism product.

Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced on the 6th that it has launched souvenirs using the new urban brand, including the beloved new characters ‘Haha·Hoho’.

Earlier this year, the district introduced three new urban brands embodying Songpa-gu’s unique values and history. In January, the CI was created by reinterpreting the pine tree shape to match the place name ‘Songpa (松坡)’, and the characters ‘Haha·Hoho’ were developed by storytelling the 1988 Seoul Olympic mascot. In March, the BI ‘We Love Songpa’, symbolizing love for the country and Songpa, was developed and is being actively utilized.

Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “Over the past six months, residents’ interest and affection for the new urban brand have increased,” adding, “We created new souvenirs so that people can encounter the urban brand more familiarly and diversely in daily life.”

The new souvenirs total 14 types, focusing on practicality and the latest trends.

▲ Double-sided umbrella for the upcoming rainy season ▲ Eco bag highlighting Songpa-gu CI colors ▲ Retro-style LP turntable model Bluetooth speaker ▲ ‘Haha·Hoho’ character dolls popular among children ▲ Cost-effective We Love Songpa mugs suitable for gifts ▲ Music box mood lamps featuring ‘Haha·Hoho’ and ‘Olympic Park Peace Gate’, as well as character grip-toks and CI badges.

Prices range from 5,000 KRW to 30,000 KRW depending on the product. Anyone can purchase them by visiting the Songpa Tourism Information Center located at Dongho, Seokchon Lake. The center operates daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Additionally, the district has produced 18 types of ‘travel toppers’ featuring various designs of ‘Haha·Hoho’ and Seokchon Lake so that visitors to Songpa-gu can capture memories in photos. These toppers are available for free rental at the Tourism Information Center.

Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, “This development of tourism souvenirs, considering the diverse needs of residents and visitors as well as Songpa-gu’s unique characteristics and identity, is a representative creative case of Songpa district administration,” and added, “We will continue to introduce a variety of high-quality tourism souvenirs loved by many tourists to elevate Songpa-gu’s status.”
