This training was the first in-person session in four years since COVID-19, designed to convey the responsibilities that academy and study room operators must observe, as well as education on the obligation to report child abuse.

Attorney Jeong conducted the lecture by explaining precautions in an easy-to-understand manner based on case studies.

He stated, “Since the revision of the Civil Act in 2021, changing parental disciplinary rights to educational rights, the emotional protection duty of child guardians has been rapidly strengthened. It is important to note that indirect verbal abuse toward children is now subject to criminal punishment, and in conflict situations between assistant instructors and students, failure to fulfill the reporting obligation significantly increases the likelihood of the academy head being considered an accomplice to child abuse.”
