Choi Jae-in, CEO of Gloni, said in an interview with Asia Economy on the 6th, "We have invested heavily in shipping so that overseas customers can receive their orders quickly," adding, "Generally, international shipping takes 1 to 2 weeks, but with Gloni, customers can receive products within 2 to 3 days."


CEO Choi studied abroad in Philadelphia, USA, and incorporated the inspiration she gained there into the brand. The brand was officially launched in 2020, and in 2022, it established its own mall (D2C) through the global e-commerce platform Cafe24. CEO Choi explained, "Sales in the first half of the year have already surpassed last year's total annual sales of 2.7 billion KRW, and we expect to grow about threefold compared to last year. The monthly active users (MAU) of our own online store are steadily increasing by 1,000 every month, and in May, we recorded about 190,000 monthly visitors."


The main product line, the G Classic line, focuses on basic items that can be worn daily. The representative products, 'Baby Tee' and 'Classic Fitted Tee,' use comfortable materials and feature the Gloni logo at the bottom as a point. The '93 Mid-rise Loose-fit Jeans' reinterpret the vintage denim feel of the 80s and 90s, using dense and detailed denim fabric from Cone Mills, the denim fabric manufacturer for Levi's, making them highly durable. CEO Choi emphasized, "The G Classic line uses fabric that does not easily stretch or wrinkle even after washing, so it can be worn for a long time," adding, "There are many loyal customers who purchase over 500,000 KRW or buy two of the same item."


Gloni is expanding its product range to increase customer satisfaction. CEO Choi stated, "We plan to increase the size options from the current 1 to 2 up to a maximum of 4, so that customers with various body types can purchase our products," and added, "This time, we are launching short-sleeve T-shirts, sleeveless tops, tank tops, and shorts as part of the summer collection of the G Classic line. We are also preparing to open an offline showroom to meet more customers."
