Customized Practical Training for Changing Business Environment
Recruitment of Small Business Owners and Practical Training Applicants for July-August
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk Province is recruiting applicants for the ‘Small Business New Hope Academy’ starting from the 4th, aimed at strengthening digital capabilities to enhance responsiveness to changes in the business environment of small business owners and to create opportunities for online market development.
This training program is divided into three parts to improve the management skills of small business owners: ▲ Practical management training (taxation, management, labor, basic entrepreneurship, etc.) ▲ Digital marketing training (open markets, Smart Store, etc.) ▲ Expert lectures (entrepreneurship, success stories, etc.). The courses are provided free of charge with city support.
The first phase of the Small Business New Hope Academy, ‘Practical Management Training,’ will be held in four sessions from the 18th of this month to the 25th of next month. Each session will accept around 40 participants and will be an intensive 12-hour course over two days, held on the first floor of the Business Support Center. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis per session.
More detailed information about the Small Business New Hope Academy training courses can be found on the city’s website. Small business owners wishing to apply can do so via Naver online registration (QR code on promotional materials) or by phone.
Mayor Kim Jang-ho said, “I hope that the Small Business New Hope Academy will serve as an opportunity for small business owners to grow one step further in line with rapidly changing consumer trends and business models.” He added, “We will actively discover support policies for small business owners and do our best to revitalize the local economy and stabilize people’s livelihoods.”
After the practical management training, the city plans to sequentially implement the ‘Digital Marketing Training,’ a customized digital practical course for small business owners, and the ‘Expert Lectures,’ which provide management mindset education delivered by small business mentors.
