Jeon Ho-hwan, President, "Focus on Startup and Industry-Academia-Research Project Collaboration"
Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) is embarking on a collaborative project on global entrepreneurship education with UI (Universitas Indonesia), a prestigious national university in Indonesia.
On the 5th, Dongmyung University announced that it signed an MOU with UI, Indonesia's top national university, on the 4th to spread Doing Education Innovation and support students' global entrepreneurship capabilities.
The two universities decided to leverage their respective strengths in excellent research capabilities and practical talent development to promote cooperation in academic and student exchanges, curriculum linkage, and joint research. In particular, they agreed to continue intensive collaboration in the fields of entrepreneurship and industry-academia-research projects.
Seven Dongmyung University students participating in the Global Entrepreneurship Project of the Dongmyung University SW-Centered University Project Group (Director Jo Mi-kyung) attended the signing ceremony held at the UI campus in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Centered around students from the Department of Computer Engineering, AI Department, Information Security Department, and Game Engineering Department, these students formed an entrepreneurship club and plan to stay at the UI guesthouse for three weeks from the 1st to refine startup ideas and discover entrepreneurial items in collaboration with local students as part of the global entrepreneurship project to identify local demand in Indonesia.
The signing ceremony was attended by President Jeon Ho-hwan, Director Jo Mi-kyung, Professor Kang Young-min of the Game Engineering Department, and Professor Kim Min-jun of the SW-Centered University Project Group.
Professor Kim Min-jun will stay at UI with the students for three weeks and serve as their direct mentor.
The Dongmyung University SW-Centered University Project Group expects this current global entrepreneurship project for enrolled students to become a catalyst for student ICT startups leading K-ICT in Southeast Asia, providing all students with airfare and living expenses and offering various educational programs.
Earlier, on the 3rd, President Jeon visited Unas, the oldest private university in Jakarta, and met with its president to discuss mutual exchanges.
Dongmyung University aims to become a global university with a total of 8,000 students, including 4,000 international and 4,000 domestic students.
President Jeon has visited many universities in Indonesia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, China, and other countries to sign agreements and is making every effort to attract international students.
