Cultural and content company Daewon Media (CEO Jung Wook, Jung Dong-hoon) is launching domestic operations for the latest installment of the dark fantasy animation Jujutsu Kaisen, titled ‘Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Womb Arc / Shibuya Incident’ (hereinafter referred to as Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2), which features stylish action scenes.
Daewon Media announced on the 4th that the latest installment of the popular animation series based on the popular manga of the same name, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, will premiere domestically on Anibox at 1 a.m. on the 7th.
This Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will be presented in two consecutive story arcs. First, the Cursed Womb Arc story unfolds, revealing the reasons why the strongest characters in the series, Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru, take completely opposite paths. This is followed by the continuous broadcast of the Shibuya Incident story.
Starting with the Anibox premiere, the series will also be available on various platforms including popular domestic animation channel Ani-One, OTT, IPTV, cable TV, and satellite TV. For OTT platforms, streaming services will be provided sequentially within about a day after the TV premiere on JBOX, Naver, Wavve, Watcha, Tving, Laftel, and others.
To commemorate the domestic broadcast of this new work, streaming service for ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie,’ which was released in February last year and received much love, is also planned. Previously, the movie was available only through VOD purchase services, but from the 17th, it will be available for streaming on various platforms including OTT.
A Daewon Media representative stated, “The TV animation Jujutsu Kaisen series has quickly formed an enormous fandom with its unique, dynamic, and stylish action scenes. Not only the protagonist but also the antagonists have strong appeal points, making it a beloved work. Daewon Media will strive to provide various forms of content to domestic fans while developing domestic operations for this new installment.”
