Commemorative Ceremony Replaced by Regular Staff Assembly... From 7 AM Environmental Officers' Lounge, All-Day On-Site Visits and Communication

Moon Heon-il, the mayor of Guro District Office, is distributing snacks to employees in the office cafeteria.

Moon Heon-il, mayor of Guro District, embarked on a day-long on-site visit on the 3rd to mark his first anniversary in office, engaging in communication with the field.

As his first on-site activity of the day, Mayor Moon visited the environmental officers' lounge located at the Guro 4-dong Community Center at 7 AM to listen to the concerns of the environmental officers and encouraged them by saying, “We will pay more meticulous attention to ensure that the workplace becomes a safer and more pleasant environment.”

He also shared breakfast with the environmental officers at a nearby restaurant, directly hearing their difficulties and exchanging candid opinions on possible solutions.

The 1st anniversary commemorative ceremony was replaced by a regular staff assembly held at 8:30 AM at the Guro Art Valley Arts Theater.

During the assembly, awards were presented, followed by a speech, and the screening of a 1st anniversary commemorative video and a doljabi event video, which attracted attention.

In his address, Mayor Moon stated, “Integrity is trust, and trust is the foundation of administration,” and urged, “I hope you will carry out proactive administration with creativity and responsibility.” He also emphasized, “We must always communicate and empathize with the residents.”

He then attended the redevelopment and reconstruction project support team performance report meeting, encouraging the team for their efforts so far and discussing the future direction of the support team’s activities. He also visited Bogwang Apartment in Guro 2-dong, a representative case of success by the redevelopment and reconstruction project support team, and spent time conversing with nearby residents.

At the summer vacation university student part-time orientation, he encouraged the students and delivered a greeting.

At 11:30 AM, he visited the Guro District Office Sarangchaeum Daycare Center, spending enjoyable time with the children by reading storybooks. There, Mayor Moon personally served meals and listened to voices from the childcare field.

Lunch was shared with staff at the in-house cafeteria. Before the main meal, a surprise event was held where snacks were distributed to the staff who had worked hard together for the past year.

In the afternoon, he visited the Gaebong 1 Rainwater Pump Station and the Gaewoongsan landslide restoration and prevention erosion control construction sites to inspect for potential hazards and the condition of facilities. He also consecutively visited the Guro-gu Gaebong 2-dong Senior Center and Brniel House, a residential facility for the disabled, listening to difficulties and encouraging the related personnel.

Mayor Moon Heon-il said, “The past year was a time to lay the cornerstone for moving toward ‘Warm Companionship, Changing Guro,’” and added, “I will do my best to maintain my initial resolve and achieve tangible results.”
