Renault Korea Motors announced on the 3rd that it sold a total of 7,297 units in June, with 5,576 units exported and 1,721 units sold domestically.
The export volume increased by 24% compared to the same period last year. In particular, the XM3 (export name Renault Arkana) saw exports rise by 29.3% to 4,956 units compared to the same period last year. This vehicle has exported 97,652 units over the past year since June last year. At that time, cumulative exports reached 100,000 units, and in one year, cumulative exports have reached 199,552 units, bringing the 200,000-unit milestone within reach.
In the domestic market, the mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) QM6 was the best-selling model with 928 units, a 12.2% increase compared to the previous month. It was followed by the XM3 with 640 units and the SM6 with 153 units.
The company's sales volume for the first half of this year (January to June) was 64,847 units, a 14.8% decrease compared to the same period last year (76,156 units).
Exports in the first half increased by 5.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching 52,577 units. The most exported vehicle was the XM3 with 42,760 units. Next was the QM6 (export name Renault Koleos) with 9,739 units. The Twizy and SM6 recorded 66 and 12 units respectively.
The company sold 12,270 units in the domestic market during the first half of the year. The best-selling vehicle was the QM6 with 5,973 units. Among these, LPG models accounted for 4,121 units, or 69%, and the RE or higher trim levels accounted for 64%. The 2-seater Quest sold 989 units. Following that, the XM3 sold 4,989 units. The SM6 recorded sales of 1,246 units.
