Instead of a 1st Anniversary Inauguration Ceremony, Visited Sites to Collect Recyclables and Volunteer for Meal Service to Review District Issues



Park Junhee, Gwanak-gu Mayor, Marks 1 Year in Office of the 8th Local Government by Visiting the Field Park Jun-hee, the mayor of Gwanak-gu, is collecting recyclables with environmental officers around Seoul National University Station.

Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak District, visited various sites early in the morning on the 3rd to mark the 1st anniversary of his inauguration for the 8th term of direct election.


First, as his initial activity, Mayor Park joined environmental officers around Seoul National University Station to collect recyclables, encouraging the frontline environmental officers working hard for the residents and listening to their difficulties.


Next, during the regular staff assembly, he praised employees who worked diligently to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, and at lunchtime, he visited the Gwanak Senior Welfare Center to volunteer for meal service, attentively listening to each senior citizen’s voice.


Mayor Park Jun-hee stated, “Despite difficult circumstances such as COVID-19 and high inflation, the district is achieving visible results and moving toward a hopeful future. This is thanks to the support of 500,000 Gwanak residents.” He added, “Going forward, we will continue to lead changes that residents can feel, based on the core principles of ‘innovation, communication, and cooperation’ for a ‘Together, Outstanding Gwanak District’ where everyone is happy.”
