‘Donghaeng,’ an alliance of four universities including Dong-A University, held a MICE practitioner training course.
This program was jointly hosted by Dong-A University, Dongmyung University, Dongseo University, and Dong-Eui University over two days on the 28th at the Busan Seomyeon Youth Dodream Center to support the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo.
The four universities, including Dong-A University, agreed to nurture talent in the MICE industry in preparation for the demand for outstanding human resources if the 2030 Busan World Expo is hosted.
The practitioner training course began with special lectures from officials of the Busan Tourism Association and Busan Tourism Organization, followed by a recruitment briefing by the HR manager of Ananti, and an introduction to Grand Korea Leisure (GKL).
Participants of the joint 'Donghaeng' MICE Practitioner Training Program, organized by Dong-A University and three other universities, are taking a group commemorative photo.
Additionally, eight senior mentors currently working in the MICE industry (SITC Korea, Signiel Busan, Lotte Hotel Seomyeon, Busan Tourism Organization, Jeju Air, Air Busan, BEXCO, Reconvention) were invited to provide mentoring, share employment know-how, and help set directions for job preparation.
Furthermore, side events necessary for job hunting such as interview makeup, fingerprint aptitude tests, and employment photo shoots were also held.
The fingerprint aptitude test was conducted by Kim Dong-su, CEO of ‘Cloud Nine Solution,’ a company selected for Dong-A University’s preliminary startup package, who addressed participants’ questions.
Shin Yong-taek, a student at Dong-A University and head of the Employment Support Office, said, “This is meaningful not only as an opportunity to share employment information with other universities but also to establish employment governance with associations and institutions,” adding, “We will strive not only to nurture outstanding talent in the MICE industry but also to expand into other industrial sectors.”
