Popular Products Up to 30% Discount
Lotte Duty Free announced on the 2nd that it has opened an online liquor specialty store and started selling alcoholic beverages.
Online liquor sales at duty-free shops became possible starting from the 1st, following changes in the National Tax Service's regulations on liquor tele-sales. Customers preparing for overseas travel can now purchase liquor products in advance through the online duty-free store and receive their purchases at the airport pick-up counter.
Lotte Duty Free has secured over 700 liquor products from more than 100 popular brands, including whiskey, wine, cognac, and brandy, the largest volume in the domestic duty-free industry. Various promotions are also being held, such as up to 30% discounts on popular liquors recommended by product planners (MDs).
Meanwhile, offline duty-free stores will normalize their operating hours starting from the 7th. The Myeongdong Main Store and World Tower Store will gradually restore normal business hours. The current operating hours, from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, will be extended until 8:00 PM. The Jeju and Busan stores plan to adjust their hours later, considering the recovery of tourists.
Kim Junam, CEO of Lotte Duty Free, said, “With the government's active support to revitalize the duty-free industry, we have proactively established an online liquor sales system in line with digital trends. We will continue to enhance customer service and benefits to improve the convenience of duty-free shopping.”
