Enjoyable in spacious and active-friendly areas beyond the streets
Urban content planning company Heyway Co., Ltd. announced on the 30th that it will hold the '2023 Watergun Festival' on August 12 and 13 at the Mapo-gu Culture Storage Base.
At the Watergun Festival, participants can experience a sense of liberation from everyday life by shooting water guns at each other in the city, and can also participate in various programs within the event venue. The concept of this year's festival is 'I AM ALIVE.'
This festival is being held for the first time in four years, and the biggest change is that it has moved away from the streets to a wider and more active space where attendees can enjoy the watergun festival. Accordingly, the organizers will present a variety of water attractions and DJ music throughout the venue, and plan to arrange water-based programs in collaboration with a youth planning team.
Heyway continues to explore ways to address local and social issues through its festivals. In the seven previous 'Sinchon Watergun Festivals,' they collaborated with social enterprises to recycle and reuse 2 tons of water guns per event. Through this effort, about 14 tons of plastic were circulated in a virtuous cycle.
Heyway CEO Kim Hyun-kyung said, "We have spent the past four years thinking about the most exciting and thrilling programs that can be enjoyed with water, so everyone will feel the fun of communicating and becoming one through water guns at the event."
Since 2013, Heyway has been planning and operating various content for regional revitalization, including the 'Sinchon Watergun Festival,' as well as the Sinchon Beer Festival, Myeongdong Space Beer Festival, and Petter Park Festival.
Advance tickets for the main event will be available from Wednesday, July 5, 2023, on 'Wemakeprice.' For inquiries related to the event, please contact the official Instagram or call by phone.
