Nowon-gu Operates 'Visiting On-Site Civil Service Office' for New Residents

Nowon-gu (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will set up a ‘Visiting On-site Civil Service Office’ ahead of the large-scale move-in following the completion of the Sanggye 6 Redevelopment Promotion District housing redevelopment project.

The Sanggye Redevelopment Promotion Project is a development initiative dividing 647,578㎡ of the Sanggye 3 and 4-dong area into six zones according to the ‘Sanggye Redevelopment Promotion Plan’ announced in 2008.

Recently, the amendment to the Redevelopment Promotion Plan was approved by the Seoul Metropolitan Urban Redevelopment Committee, accelerating the creation of the New Town.

After the completion of Sanggye 4 District in 2020, the construction of Sanggye 6 District was completed this month after three years, consisting of 10 buildings with 3 basement floors and 29 above-ground floors, totaling 1,163 households ready for move-in.

Accordingly, the district office decided to establish and operate a ‘Visiting On-site Civil Service Office’ within the complex to provide administrative convenience to residents and help them easily complete the move-in procedures.

At the on-site civil service office, residents can complete ▲move-in registration ▲confirmation of date and lease registration ▲viewing of move-in households ▲issuance of resident registration certificates and abstracts ▲reporting of large household waste disposal. However, certificates such as resident registration certificates and abstracts are issued only to verify the acceptance of move-in registration, and for other purposes such as lawsuits, residents must visit the local community service center.

The on-site civil service office is located in the community room on the basement 1st floor of Building 105 within the apartment complex. It will operate from June 30 to August 11, weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Meanwhile, the district also operates a ‘Visiting Dispute Mediation Team’ to identify factors and propose solutions before disputes and conflicts that may arise in multi-family housing become entrenched. They mediate issues such as ▲appointment and dismissal of representatives of residents’ meetings and building representatives ▲collection and use of management fees and long-term repair funds ▲maintenance, repair, and improvement of common facilities in multi-family housing ▲remodeling of common areas in multi-family housing ▲and other disputes related to multi-family housing.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, “We sincerely welcome the residents who are becoming part of our community, and hope that the operation of the on-site civil service office will allow residents to complete move-in procedures comfortably without confusion.” He added, “We will continue to actively discover customized administrative services for civil complaints to create a comfortable Nowon for our residents.”
