Yongsan-gu (Mayor Park Hee-young) held a delivery ceremony at 4 PM on the 28th with HDC Hyundai Development Company, which donated 'Cool Summer Support Items for the Underprivileged.'


The ceremony took place in the mayor's office at Yongsan-gu Office, attended by Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, Shin Wang-seop, Executive Director of HDC Hyundai Development Company, and officials from the Yongsan Welfare Foundation.


The Yongsan Welfare Foundation plans to provide 50 refrigerators (worth approximately 10 million KRW) to households vulnerable to heatwaves. The refrigerators feature separate compartments for refrigeration and freezing. With a capacity of 87 liters, they efficiently utilize limited space.


Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We are grateful to HDC Hyundai Development Company for their continuous sharing with the local community. In accordance with the donor’s wishes, we will deliver the refrigerators to those in need and do our best to protect heat-vulnerable groups.”


Since 2017, Hyundai Development Company has donated a total of 108 million KRW through the Yongsan Welfare Foundation.


Shin Wang-seop, Executive Director of HDC Hyundai Development Company, stated, “With this year’s unusually early heatwave, we hope all Yongsan residents can enjoy a cool summer. We will continue to pay attention to enhancing welfare in the local community.”
