Tour Schedule Postponed... Currently Regaining Consciousness
Famous American pop star Madonna (64) has been hospitalized in the intensive care unit due to a bacterial infection, leading to the postponement of her tour schedule.
On the 29th (local time), the American entertainment magazine Page Six reported that Madonna was found unconscious on the 24th and was transferred to a hospital in New York.
After being hospitalized, Madonna was intubated and is currently conscious, recovering after the removal of the tube.
Madonna's longtime manager Guy Oseary stated on his Instagram that day, "Madonna stayed in the intensive care unit for several days due to a serious bacterial infection."
He added, "Her health is improving, but Madonna is still undergoing treatment," and "A full recovery is expected."
Madonna was scheduled to start her 'Celebration' world tour on the 15th of next month in Vancouver.
She planned to perform in over 40 countries, including Seattle, London, and Paris, from July until January next year, but the schedule is expected to be postponed due to her health issues.
Guy Oseary said, "At this time, all schedules, including the tour, must be suspended," and "We will share detailed information as soon as the new tour start date and revised schedule are decided."
