Gimpo Police Plan Investigation Based on CCTV
A report was received that a man in his 20s, intoxicated, caused a disturbance at a hotel in Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi Province, prompting the police to launch an investigation. Elementary school students on a school trip were staying at this hotel.
According to Yonhap News on the 28th, the Gimpo Police Station in Gyeonggi received a 112 emergency call around midnight reporting "a drunken person causing a disturbance" at a hotel in Gimpo-si.
Witnesses stated during the police investigation that "Mr. A was urinating in front of the room while naked and knocking on the door."
Mr. A, a man in his 20s staying at the hotel, is an employee of a disabled sports association who participated in a sports competition hosted by the Gimpo Disabled Sports Association from the 27th to the 29th.
At that time, elementary school students on a school trip were also staying at the hotel, and school officials reportedly took action in response.
The police accompanied Mr. A to the police station voluntarily and sent him home, and plan to summon him again for further questioning soon. They also intend to investigate the circumstances of the incident based on the hotel's internal closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
