A low-cost carrier (LCC) passenger plane bound for Vietnam departing from Incheon made an emergency landing in the Philippines.
According to AFP, the Vietnamese low-cost carrier VietJet passenger plane made an emergency landing on the 28th (local time) at Laoag Airport in Ilocos Norte province, northern Luzon Island, Philippines, due to technical issues. The aircraft was confirmed to be an Airbus A321 model. Eric Apolonio, spokesperson for the Philippine Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), stated, "The pilot informed the control tower of a technical problem, and no engine failure was reported."
There were 214 people on board, and no injuries were reported during the landing. Passengers are reportedly waiting for a replacement aircraft in the airport lounge.
