Gwangjin-gu, Recruiting Users for Seoul-style Home Care Service

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is recruiting users for the ‘Seoul-type Household Service’ from June 27 to July 6.

The ‘Seoul-type Household Service’ is a project that supports work-life balance by assisting with household chores such as cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry for pregnant women, dual-income, and multi-child families. Professional housekeeping managers from specialized companies provide cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and other services on the users’ preferred dates.

The support targets a total of 545 households residing in Gwangjin-gu with a median income below 150%, including pregnant women, dual-income, and multi-child families. Each household receives free service for a total of 6 sessions, 4 hours per session.

Specifically, ▲pregnant women households include those who are pregnant or within one year after childbirth ▲dual-income households require both spouses to work at least 20 hours per week ▲multi-child families are those with two or more minor children under 18 years old as of the announcement date (June 19).

Applications are accepted online only. From 10:00 AM on June 27 to 11:59 PM on July 6, applications can be submitted on the Seoul-type Household Service website, and supporting documents must be attached when applying.

Households where the user or family members have disabilities or illnesses causing care gaps will be given priority selection. Otherwise, selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Gwangjin-gu Office Family Welfare Division or the local community service centers.

Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, “Through this support project, we hope parents can spend happier and more relaxed time with their children, and dual-income couples can find a better balance between work and life. We will continue to do our best to make Gwangjin-gu a better place to live.”
