SH Corporation-Underdogs, Recruiting Startup Teams in Housing and Space Innovation Sector

Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) and Underdogs, a social enterprise specializing in startup education, are seeking participants for the social venture support project “THE MOVEMENT PROJECT,” which discovers and nurtures entrepreneurs (teams) focused on housing and space innovation.

SH Corporation announced on the 28th that it will accept applications for the “Social Venture Support Project - THE MOVEMENT PROJECT” until July 14. Since 2021, SH Corporation has been operating the “Social Venture Support Project” to foster social ventures that contribute to solving social issues, supporting 18 social ventures over two years with acceleration and business development funds, and awarding prizes to outstanding companies, thereby striving to create social value.

This year, the project will continue, but unlike previous years, the eligibility for applicants will be specified to the “housing and space innovation field” linked to the corporation’s business, aiming to discover and nurture five startup teams. Additionally, in collaboration with Underdogs, a startup education specialist, various programs will be provided to help the selected startup teams excel in the housing and space service sector.

Eligibility includes preliminary or early-stage startup teams based in the Seoul area that have started or are preparing to start a business within 0 to 3 years, and provide solutions or content related to environmental improvement, welfare, platform utilization in housing, office, or commercial spaces. Startups dealing with business items related to living devices, furniture and indoor equipment, indoor spaces, housing, or residences can apply.

After the application period ends, five startup teams selected through an in-person screening will participate in a total of 10 regular startup program sessions from August to October. The program consists of orientation, education, coaching, and a performance sharing meeting. In addition, expert mentoring, prototype production support, and a prize of 8 million KRW will be awarded to the outstanding teams at the performance sharing meeting.

Startup teams wishing to apply should check the recruitment announcement on the SH Corporation or Underdogs websites by July 14, complete the related documents, and submit them online.
