Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, signed a business agreement with 13 service providers for the Goseong-type 'Emergency Care SOS Center' care service.
The Goseong-type ‘Emergency Care SOS Center’ project will begin on July 1, and the services provided include the ‘5 Major Care Services’: ▲Temporary home care (care provided at home by care workers, etc.) ▲Accompaniment support (accompanying essential outings) ▲Housing convenience (simple home repairs and disinfection) ▲Meal support (side dish delivery) ▲Short-term facility admission service, as well as the ‘5 Major Mid- to Long-term Care Linkage Services’ which support welfare checks, health support, linkage to public care systems, case management, and emergency support linkage.
The eligible users are elderly and disabled residents who suddenly require urgent and temporary care due to illness, accidents, discharge from hospital, etc., have no caregivers, and are not using public care systems.
Not only recipients and low-income groups such as those in the next-lowest income bracket, but also residents with a standard median income of 85% or less (approximately 1.77 million KRW for a single-person household) can use the emergency care service free of charge within the annual limit. Residents outside this range can use the care service with self-payment.
Applications can be made at the welfare officer for visiting welfare (Emergency Care SOS Center) at the local town or township office of the applicant’s address.
County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, “The Goseong-type ‘Emergency Care SOS Center’ project is a differentiated welfare policy unique to Goseong-gun to fill the care gaps for vulnerable groups,” and added, “We hope that through this agreement, the project will be successfully established and that residents in need will be able to receive the services, so we ask for your active cooperation.”
