The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced that Superintendent Kang Eun-hee participated in the 'Single-Use Products Zero (1 zer0) Challenge.'
The 'Single-Use Products Zero (1 zer0) Challenge' is an environmental practice campaign promoted by the Ministry of Environment. Participants post a pledge on social networking services (SNS) to reduce the use of single-use products after being nominated, and then nominate the next participants in a relay-style campaign.
Daegu Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee is participating in the 'Single-Use Items Zero Challenge,' which emphasizes that disposable products should not be used to protect the global environment.
After being nominated by Seong Han-gi, President of Daegu Catholic University, Superintendent Kang Eun-hee formed the numbers 1 and 0 with both hands, symbolizing single-use products and zero, and posted a pledge message and video on YouTube and other SNS platforms to commit to reducing single-use products in daily life.
Superintendent Kang Eun-hee said, "Even small efforts to reduce the use of single-use products are the easiest and most practical way to practice carbon neutrality and protect the global environment. For a healthy and sustainable life, the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education will continue to actively work to reduce single-use products and promote the use of reusable products until the day we achieve zero single-use products."
Superintendent Kang Eun-hee nominated Lee Jae-ha, Chairman of the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Park Young-gi, Chairman of the Daegu Sports Council, as the next participants in the challenge.
