Namhae-gun, Nature Conservation Movement Yeong-Honam Seminar Successfully Held

The "26th Yeong-Ho Nam Seminar for National Unity and Nature Conservation Movement," jointly hosted by the Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeollabuk-do Nature Conservation Councils and organized by the Nature Conservation Federation Namhae-gun Council in Gyeongsangnam-do, was successfully held at the Namhae Culture Center and throughout Namhae-gun.


The event, held from the 27th to the 28th, was attended by over 200 people including Jang Chung-nam, Mayor of Namhae-gun; Im Tae-sik, Chairman; Jeong Seok-won, Director of the Environment and Forestry Bureau of Gyeongsangnam-do; Ryu Kyung-wan, Provincial Assembly member; Son Byung-il, Chairman of the Gyeongsangnam-do Nature Conservation Council; Jeong Chang-su, Chairman of the Jeollabuk-do Nature Conservation Council; as well as Yeong-Ho Nam Nature Conservation Council advisory members and heads of local organizations.

Namhae-gun, Nature Conservation Movement Yeong-Honam Seminar Successfully Held The "26th National Harmony and Nature Conservation Movement Yeongho-Nam Seminar" was successfully held at the Namhae Cultural Center and throughout Namhae County, Gyeongnam.

The Yeong-Ho Nam Nature Conservation Seminar has been held annually on a rotating basis between Yeong and Ho Nam regions since 1998. Under the slogan "Let nature conservation organizations take the lead for low-carbon green growth," the seminar is held to explore directions for protecting the nation's natural environment and conservation through mutual exchange between Yeong and Ho Nam, and to create an opportunity for East-West harmony.


This seminar, themed "Historical Travel with Nature," featured an opening ceremony, lectures, and presentations of outstanding nature conservation activities on the first day, followed by visits to historical sites such as the Namhae Exile Literature Museum and Yi Sun-sin Martyrdom Park on the second day.


The seminar served as a platform for sharing the strengths of nature conservation activities between the Yeong and Ho Nam regions and provided a diverse forum for discussions on environmental preservation, strengthening the bond between the two regional councils.
