Daesang Cheongjeongwon launches new Hongcho products 'Prune·Lemon & Lime'

Daesang Cheongjeongwon announced on the 28th that it will launch two new products in its domestic drinking vinegar brand ‘Hongcho’.

The new products consist of ‘Cheongjeongwon Hongcho Prune’ and ‘Cheongjeongwon Hongcho Lemon & Lime’. These are functional foods containing aloe gel, known to help with gut health, immune enhancement, and skin health. Instead of sugar, oligosaccharides and allulose are used to provide sweetness. In particular, they also contain prebiotic ingredients of isomalto-oligosaccharides, which are resistant to acid, allowing for a healthier enjoyment.


‘Hongcho Prune’ is characterized by a high dietary fiber content of 3g per 100kcal. Prunes are dried plums, a Western plum fruit containing nutrients such as dietary fiber. It can be enjoyed as a hearty health drink by mixing Hongcho with water or carbonated water in a 3:1 ratio, or eaten as a prune yogurt bowl paired with Greek yogurt and nuts. ‘Hongcho Lemon & Lime’ features refreshing Italian lemons and limes combined with Hongcho, creating a sweet and tangy flavor. When diluted with water or carbonated water at a 3:1 ratio, it can be enjoyed as a cool lemonade, and when mixed with whiskey and ice, it can be tasted as a refreshing lemon-lime highball.


Hongcho Prune is available in two sizes, 900ml and 1.5L, and can be purchased through all offline and online channels including large supermarkets. Hongcho Lemon & Lime comes in a 900ml size and will be pre-sold on Coupang throughout June.
