The Hazardous Materials Safety Mobile Support Team is a special team composed of hazardous materials experts from three organizations: the Fire Headquarters, the Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and the Korea Fire Safety Institute. To assist hazardous materials facility personnel with safety management, the team visits hazardous materials facilities monthly to conduct safety consulting in key areas of each organization.

This time, the mobile support team conducted safety consulting for two sites in Gunsan City: Lotte Liquor Gunsan Factory and Samyang InnoChem Co., Ltd. The Fire Headquarters focused on facility maintenance and management for fire prevention, the Occupational Safety and Health Agency focused on health and safety of hazardous materials handlers for industrial safety, and the Korea Fire Safety Institute emphasized safety education for related personnel.

Chief Jun Nak-dong of the Fire Headquarters stated, "Hazardous materials accidents, where small incidents can lead to large-scale disasters, are best addressed through prevention," and added, "We will do our best to prevent hazardous materials accidents through collaboration with related organizations."
