Shinan County announced on the 27th that it conducted safety and customer service training for merchants at Jido Traditional Market on the 23rd in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Jido-eup Office.
About 40 merchants attended the training, where Firefighter Lee Gi-ho from Shinan Fire Station and instructor Cheon Gwang-rye from Jeonnam Health and Welfare Lifelong Education Center provided education on evacuation procedures during fires, fire extinguisher practice, and customer-friendly service.
Yoon Kang-cheol, the head of the merchants' association, said, "This training was a meaningful time to raise awareness about safety accidents. We will strive to prevent safety accidents in the traditional market and revitalize the market economy," adding, "We promise to greet customers with smiles and kindness to create a lively market atmosphere."
Additionally, campaigns such as "Creating a Healthy and Rational Consumption Culture," which includes participation in stabilizing local prices and eradicating overcharging, and an "Energy Saving" campaign, which encourages raising air conditioner temperatures during summer and unplugging unused electronic devices, were also promoted.
A representative of the traditional market stated, "We will do our best to regularly conduct training to prevent safety accidents and provide the best customer service to revitalize the traditional market."
