Hyunwoo Industry is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as highlighting its supply of parts related to LG following the news of Apple Car's test drive.
As of 1:54 PM on the 27th, Hyunwoo Industry is trading at 5,470 KRW, up 4.59% compared to the previous day.
It has been reported that Apple secretly conducted a test drive of its self-branded autonomous electric vehicle, known as the "Apple Car," in Arizona, USA.
On this day, the automotive magazine Car and Driver revealed that it found evidence that Apple is testing autonomous driving technology on land it purchased in 2021. This site was used as a vehicle performance test track by the automaker DaimlerChrysler until 2005.
Route14 Investment Partners, which purchased the land, has been identified as the company secretly handling Apple Car-related operations. In particular, the fact that tests are being conducted on a vehicle believed to be an Apple autonomous prototype at the Arizona vehicle test site was cited as decisive evidence.
Additional investigation by Car and Driver also revealed that the phone number Route14 Investment Partners entered to obtain permission from Arizona authorities matches that of Apple's headquarters.
Meanwhile, Hyunwoo Industry is known to supply PCBs to display and automotive/electric vehicle electronic component manufacturers such as LG Electronics and LG Display.
LG has long been considered the most likely partner for the Apple Car. LG Electronics has formed a triangular alliance with the VS Business Division, LG Magna e-Powertrain, and ZKW, and has secured an electric vehicle-specialized lineup including LG Energy Solution batteries and LG Innotek LiDAR sensors.
Hyunwoo Industry supplies PCBs to major domestic and international customers in the automotive and electric vehicle electronic component sectors, display sector, and information and communication sector.
