Purchase of Nearby Building Without Loans Using Profits
Monthly Rent of 42 Million Won from Building Completed Last Year
Actress Lee Da-hae reportedly earned a capital gain of 20 billion KRW by selling a building located in Nonhyeon-dong last year, according to Money Today on the 27th.
According to the report, Lee sold a building in the Hakdong-ro area of Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, which was owned under her company’s name, for 24 billion KRW in August last year. She then used the proceeds to purchase another nearby building.
The building in question is a structure with one basement floor and four above-ground floors, situated on a land area of 271.9㎡ (approximately 82 pyeong) and a total floor area of 646.2㎡ (approximately 195 pyeong). It is located at the corner where Hakdong-ro 44-gil and Eonju-ro 130-gil intersect in Nonhyeon-dong.
Lee Da-hae purchased this building in 2016 under the name of a corporation presumed to be her family company for 4.608 billion KRW. She thus realized a capital gain of about 20 billion KRW in roughly six years.
It is reported that Lee reinvested the capital gain by purchasing another building in Nonhyeon-dong. In August last year, she acquired a newly constructed building near Seonjeongneung Station for 15.96 billion KRW under her company’s name without taking out a loan.
The building, completed last year, has two basement floors and five above-ground floors, with a land area of 300.82㎡ (91 pyeong) and a total floor area of 922.31㎡ (279 pyeong). Currently, it has tenants paying a deposit of 550 million KRW and monthly rent of 42 million KRW.
In addition to this building, Lee Da-hae is said to own two more real estate properties in Nonhyeon-dong. In 2013, she purchased a unit in the luxury villa “Nonhyeon La Folium” for 2.59445 billion KRW. Furthermore, in October 2014, she attracted attention by purchasing a two-story building in Nonhyeon-dong at 45 million KRW, which was 5 million KRW cheaper per 3.3㎡ than the surrounding market price.
Lee Da-hae has appeared in dramas such as “The King’s Daughter, Soo Baek-hyang” and “Chuno,” and won the Best New Actress award at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2005. She also received the Presidential Commendation Savings Award on Savings Day in 2010.
Meanwhile, Lee Da-hae began a public relationship with singer and musical actor Seven in 2015. After eight years of dating, they tied the knot last May. The wedding attracted attention with attendees including singers GD, Taeyang, Sandara Park, and actors Cha Tae-hyun and Kwon Sang-woo.
