Mobidays subsidiary 'Mobicontentstech,' a digital ad-tech company, is acquiring Cocodive, a K-POP comprehensive content platform with 1.5 million global members.
Recently, Mobidays announced that it signed a business transfer agreement worth 30 billion KRW with Cocodive.
Founded in 2018, Cocodive operates its own platform that plans, distributes, and sells products sought by overseas fans, such as K-POP albums and goods. It has over 1.5 million members from 204 countries. All of its sales are generated overseas, and it recorded approximately 30 billion KRW in sales last year.
Last year, Mobidays increased its insights in the K-content sector by participating as a major LP (limited partner) in a large content fund worth 100 billion KRW, building networks and an IP pool within the industry, and steadily enhancing its business capabilities. In June, it launched its subsidiary 'Mobicontentstech' to expand its business areas into K-content and related technology and solution fields as part of its new growth engines.
Yoo Beom-ryeong, CEO of Mobidays, stated, "Through this opportunity, we will accelerate collaboration with various domestic and international entertainment and content platforms," adding, "We plan to continuously invest in areas that can grow alongside Mobidays' core competencies in global digital marketing, such as Mobigames and Mobicontentstech."
Meanwhile, Mobidays is a data-driven digital marketing specialist company that analyzes user inflow data and draws conclusions to enhance advertisers' efficiency through performance marketing.
