On the 22nd at 2 PM, ‘On-site Integrated Support Headquarters Training’ Held with 80 Senior Officials from Jungnang-gu Office Attending
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) conducted the ‘On-site Integrated Support Headquarters Training’ on the afternoon of the 22nd at 2 PM, with 80 senior officials from Jungnang-gu Office in attendance.
The training, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Safety General Division, focused on initial disaster response drills to strengthen the capability of the Jungnang-gu Integrated Support Headquarters to be immediately operational at disaster sites.
The Integrated Support Headquarters is composed of public officials from 13 task forces to oversee, coordinate, and support disaster sites. In the event of a disaster, they perform roles such as overall situation management, emergency facility restoration, disaster recovery publicity, medical and quarantine services, traffic measures, and emergency livelihood support.
During the training, a complex disaster scenario was assumed involving a fire at a large local supermarket and building collapse. The first responders at the scene practiced measures to prevent large-scale disasters and methods to quickly and accurately exchange real-time information using the disaster safety communication network (PS-LTE). Various solutions were proposed by disaster type, and focused training was conducted to enhance crisis response capabilities.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “As disasters become increasingly complex and large-scale, it is difficult to predict and prepare for all of them, but it is necessary to repeatedly conduct realistic disaster response drills like today’s to establish a system that can suppress accidents at an early stage.” He added, “This training served as a valuable opportunity to raise awareness about disaster and safety, thereby strengthening Jungnang-gu’s preparedness.”
