Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) signed an 'Open Innovation between Global Companies and G-Valley Startups' agreement on the 21st with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA, CEO Kim Hyun-woo), global companies ASUS and Ansys.

Through this agreement, each organization agreed to mutually cooperate on discovering outstanding startups, operating open innovation, supporting technology workshops and mentoring for startups, and other necessary matters for project execution.

The 'open innovation' approach promoted by Geumcheon-gu this year supports startups in developing innovative products based on the latest technologies from global companies.

This initiative was launched to revitalize youth entrepreneurship in G-Valley and expand the influx of excellent startups.

Through this project, global companies will review the latest technologies, and participating startups will receive professional mentoring from global companies and the Seoul Business Agency to commercialize and advance their products.

Geumcheon-gu plans to offer outstanding startups the opportunity to move into startup spaces within Geumcheon-gu.

Meanwhile, ASUS is the world's number one motherboard sales company and has entered the artificial intelligence Internet of Things (AIoT) market based on its technological capabilities. Ansys is a simulation technology specialist company used in the 4th industrial revolution fields such as autonomous driving, 5G, and Internet of Things (IoT). The outcomes of cooperation between these companies and startups are highly anticipated.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “I am pleased that this agreement has laid the foundation for win-win cooperation within G-Valley,” and added, “We will continue to attract excellent startups to G-Valley and support their growth so that they can lead job creation and innovative growth in the region.”
