To this end, each related department conducted safety inspections targeting major large-scale construction sites, landslide risk areas, steep slopes, areas at risk of human casualties, stormwater retention facilities, and drainage pumping stations in preparation for the rainy season.

The county is thoroughly inspecting public facilities at major construction sites to prevent safety accidents and poor construction during the rainy season.

In addition, a comprehensive inspection of flood-vulnerable areas will be conducted in preparation for the flood season.

On this day, the county inspected facilities such as access control devices, information signs, drainage passages, and drainage gates in Deokchi Cheondam-ri and Iljung-ri, Deokchi-myeon, which are flood management zones within the Seomjin River.

The county plans to continue conducting regular safety inspections, immediately correcting and supplementing minor issues on-site, and taking urgent repair and reinforcement measures for serious defects or risk factors to respond proactively.

Along with this, the county will recheck the flawless operation of the emergency work system by department according to special weather announcements and actively implement pre-surveillance activities by the autonomous disaster prevention group together with the police and fire departments for swift and accurate situation control, thereby strengthening the public-private cooperation system.

County Governor Shim Min said, “As the rainy season begins in earnest, we will do our best to prepare for the rainy season so that residents do not suffer damage from disasters. We will do our utmost to eliminate risk factors that may occur during this year’s heavy rains and rainy season in advance to prevent any damage.”
