Strengthening Resident Capacity and Establishing a Foundation for Cooperation Among Residents
Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is recruiting students for the ‘2023 Samdae Sammi Urban Regeneration University 2nd Basic Course’ at the Gurye-eup Urban Regeneration Field Support Center until the 27th.
The 2nd course will be held every Thursday from the 29th to August 17th.
The county plans to invite professional instructors for each lecture under the theme of ‘Discovering local issues and solving them through resident-proposed project plans,’ providing comprehensive education related to village community contest projects to the students.
In particular, in the 2nd term of the Samdae Sammi Urban Regeneration University, residents of Gurye-eup, the project stakeholders, will directly participate to strengthen their capacity for project management, and the curriculum is designed to enable residents to propose ideas necessary for their daily lives on their own.
The county will also support establishing a foundation to plan, commercialize, and operate the ideas actually discovered.
Any local resident who is a target of the Gurye-eup central downtown-type project or a citizen interested in urban regeneration projects can apply for the education, and applications can be made through the Gurye-eup Urban Regeneration Field Support Center blog or by visiting in person.
County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “I hope this education will provide a foundation for local residents to directly plan and operate projects on issues they are interested in,” adding, “We will continue to strive to revitalize the entire city through discovering various urban regeneration projects.”
