The agricultural education mentor project is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Nonghyup to support the stable settlement of successor women farmers in rural areas by linking marriage immigrant women with strong will to settle in farming and specialized women farmers 1:1, transferring the entire cultivation process, characteristics, and agricultural techniques of each crop.
Lee Chang-hoon, Deputy Head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, said, “Immigrant women farmers are the future and hope of our rural areas, capable of revitalizing rural communities in the era of rural population decline,” and added, “We will continue to support them so that they can quickly settle as valuable members of our society.”
