Seongdong-gu Informs Proper Recycling Disposal Methods Even at Night
Gobo Lighting Installed at 17 Seongdong Purumi Recycling Stations in Residential Areas to Improve Visibility During Nighttime
Simple Phrases Inserted to Guide Station Usage, Recycling Separation Days, and Disposal Methods
Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jung Won-oh) announced that gobo lighting has been installed at 17 locations to guide proper recycling separation and disposal methods.
The newly installed gobo lights were set up at one designated spot per building within the ‘Seongdong Purumi Recycling Stations,’ which operate to promote recycling in residential areas, totaling 17 locations.
Gobo lighting refers to lighting that projects images onto desired surfaces such as building walls, street floors, or ceilings.
With this lighting installation, residents visiting the recycling stations are informed about ▲how to use the stations ▲separation and disposal days for clear PET bottles and waste vinyl ▲prohibition of mixed disposal of household waste ▲and reducing the use of disposable products.
Promotional materials like banners or signboards are often hard to see after sunset, the time for household waste disposal, but gobo lighting projects images onto the ground, allowing recycling separation promotion to be visible to residents even at night.
Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, “We will continue to promote recycling and household waste disposal methods in an easy-to-understand way to create an environment where residents can participate voluntarily, contributing to the establishment of a resource-circulating city.”
