[One Day Walk] New Town Embracing Hosu Park and the Open Kyungjeong Park... Misa Station

The course introduced this time is Misa Station on Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 5. Until the 2000s, this area was designated as a greenbelt, but with the development of Misa Riverside City, it now houses 100,000 residents, making it a truly transformed area. Although Misa Station opened in 2020, it is located in the heart of Misa Riverside City, and the number of users is rapidly increasing.

As a newly developed city area, it generally has a clean appearance and well-maintained green spaces for residents. A representative spot is Misa Lake Park. During the development of Misa Riverside City, Mangwolcheon Stream was widened to create an artificial lake, around which a park was established. There is a walking trail circling the lake, and in the middle stands Sangmanggyo Bridge. This bridge is illuminated at night, boasting a beautiful night view. At specific times and days, a musical fountain operates, offering a new scenic attraction.

Unique restaurants line the area around Misa Lake Park, providing an additional visual and culinary experience. When taking an evening walk, the delicious aromas stimulate the senses. Most of the restaurants and pubs adjacent to the lake park offer seating with views of the lake. The side with the shopping street is relatively lively, but the opposite side of the lake is quieter and more peaceful for walking.

Since the city was developed recently, both sidewalks and roads are clean, making walking along the main roads pleasant. Walking about 1 km from the lake park leads to Misa Rowing Park, a representative local attraction. Built for rowing and canoeing events during the 1988 Seoul Olympics, it has now become a popular resting place for residents. Covering a total area of 1.33 million square meters, it takes well over an hour to walk around the park. Various sports facilities are available, and bicycles can be rented to circle the park. Recently, car camping, known as 'chabak,' has become popular, making this park a new hotspot for chabak.
