On the 22nd, Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk Province, announced that it held the ‘73rd Anniversary Ceremony of the June 25th War and Security Resolution Meeting’ at the Imsil Cultural Center performance hall.

Organized by the Imsil-gun Branch of the June 25th War Veterans Association, the event was attended by Shim Min, the governor of Imsil-gun, Lee Seong-jae, chairman of the Imsil-gun Council, Kim Hyo-jin, chief of the Imsil Police Station, Namgung Se-chang, education director, as well as heads of various institutions and social organizations, June 25th War veterans, bereaved families, and about 100 soldiers and others.
The ceremony proceeded with the reading of the security resolution and three cheers of “manse,” recalling the historical significance and lessons of the war for the defense of freedom. It was a meaningful time to express gratitude and consolation for the sacrifice and dedication of the veterans by presenting awards and plaques of appreciation to the members.
Governor Shim Min said, “The June 25th War was a great pain that caused the division of the Republic of Korea, but the sacrifice and dedication of each veteran became a solid foundation for today’s freedom, peace, and prosperity, achieving remarkable national development.”
He added, “Through this event, I hope it will be a time to remember the sacrifices of the veterans and ensure that the next generation does not forget the spirit of loving the country, thereby protecting the peace and prosperity of the Republic of Korea.”
