The Rail Network Authority formed a consortium with Dohwa Engineering, which has experience in high-speed rail project management, competing against leading global engineering firms from France, Sweden, and local Polish companies.

Poland is currently promoting a high-speed rail construction project covering a total of 2,000 km, connecting the new airport, the largest hub airport in Central and Eastern Europe, with major hub cities.

The Rail Network Authority also participated in the bidding for the Sieradz?Poznan section (total 155 km) of this project and was recently selected as the preferred negotiation partner.

Director Kim Han-young said, "Since Korea introduced high-speed rail in Europe in 2004, we have achieved the remarkable feat of exporting Korean high-speed rail technology to Europe after 20 years. We will actively cooperate in the construction of Poland's railway infrastructure by promptly advancing this project."
