The Pyeonghae Namdaecheon Dano Festival is a traditional event held every year on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month to pray for the well-being of the residents and a bountiful harvest. Organized by the Pyeonghae-eup Youth Association, it is a grand festival where residents experience Dano customs and enjoy preserving the fading traditional culture.

The festival begins with a parade from Pyeonghae Hyanggyo to the event site, followed by a ritual ceremony to pray for abundance in the sky, and various traditional cultural events such as the reenactment of the Wolsong Geunjul Tug-of-War, a representative traditional culture passed down in the Uljin area.

Additionally, visitors can participate in the Pyeonghae Namdaecheon Song Festival and the folk janggi (Korean chess) competition. Traditional experience events such as tug-of-war, strength contests, and shoe archery, as well as various experience booths for children including changpo hair washing, neolttwigi (Korean seesaw), tuho (arrow throwing), and jegichagi (shuttlecock kicking) will be operated throughout the festival period.

Kim Jong-yeol, Director of the Culture and Tourism Division, said, "In these times when traditions are disappearing, I hope many tourists and Uljin residents will attend this festival where traditional culture can be preserved and enjoyed, making it a meaningful time."
