K-content company Ascendio's produced and invested films are making steady progress by ranking high in the domestic Netflix movie category.
Ascendio announced on the 22nd that three films it produced and invested in have ranked within the top 5 in the domestic Netflix movie category.
According to FlixPatrol, a global online video service (OTT) platform viewing ranking site, Ascendio's produced films The Killer: A Girl Who Deserves to Die, Gangneung, and the invested film Wolf Hunting have each secured top positions, gaining popularity day by day.
The three films produced and invested in by Ascendio are expected to serve as an opportunity for Korean films to be reappraised on OTT platforms amid the current slump in the Korean film industry.
An Ascendio official said, “Building on the entry of the three films produced and invested by the company into the top ranks of domestic Netflix, we plan to continuously strengthen our production capabilities. As K-content continues to gain steady popularity overseas, we expect to receive favorable evaluations not only domestically but also in the global market.”
