Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) approved the resident recruitment announcement on June 21 for 182 units of general sale (exclusive area 51~84㎡) in the Sillim 3 Redevelopment Promotion Zone within the Sillim Redevelopment Promotion District.


Designated in 2005, the Sillim Redevelopment Promotion District covers approximately 354,000㎡ in the Sillim-dong area of Gwanak-gu, divided into Zones 1, 2, and 3, aiming to create about 6,100 households, making it the largest redevelopment project in the southwestern part of Seoul.


In the Sillim 3 Redevelopment Promotion Zone at 316-55 Sillim-dong, a large complex of 571 households is planned, with buildings ranging from 4 basement floors to a maximum of 17 floors above ground. Construction is actively underway with a target completion year of 2025.


The application period for general sale subscription is from July 3 to July 5. Detailed information and application methods can be found on the Korea Real Estate Board website.


Other zones, energized by this progress, are also accelerating their projects. The Sillim 2 Redevelopment Promotion Zone has reached an 80% progress rate in the demolition of existing buildings, and the Sillim 1 Redevelopment Promotion Zone is currently undergoing construction and traffic reviews for project implementation approval.


The district expects the Sillim Redevelopment Promotion District to grow into a key area for southwestern Seoul’s rail transportation, served by three light rail lines: the Sillim Line, Nangok Line, and Western Line. It also anticipates the effect of serving as a residential area supporting ‘Gwanak S Valley’?designated as a venture business promotion zone in the Daehak-dong and Nakseongdae-dong areas.


Bordering Gwanaksan Mountain and Dorimcheon Stream (Byeolbitneurincheon), the Sillim Redevelopment Promotion District will also develop as an eco-friendly city where residents can enjoy nature close to home through projects such as the ‘Gwanaksan Park 24 Project’ and ‘Waterside Sensory City Creation’ promoted by the district.


Mayor Park Jun-hee of Gwanak-gu stated, “The redevelopment project in the Sillim Redevelopment Promotion District has expanded housing options within the area and laid the foundation for regional development. We will continue to provide active administrative support to help Gwanak-gu become a better residential area.”
