Inauguration of Do Jeonghun as the 2nd Chairman and Credo Offshore CEO

Shinan County, Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that the inauguration and retirement ceremony of the Shinan Offshore Wind Power Developers Association was held on the 20th at Hotel Hyundai Vira Han Mokpo, attended by Park Woo-ryang, Shinan County Governor, the chairman of Shinan County Council, council members, and representatives of power generation companies.

Following the first chairman Lee Do-myeong (Chairman of Duson Construction), who led the promotion of the Shinan offshore wind power project, the second chairman Do Jeong-hoon (CEO of Credo Offshore) took office and took the first step to lead the association anew.

In his inaugural speech, newly appointed chairman Do Jeong-hoon said, “The Shinan Offshore Wind Power Developers Association will closely cooperate and communicate with Shinan County, fishermen, and residents to unite the member companies’ efforts to ensure the early establishment and successful promotion of the Shinan offshore wind power complex.”

Governor Park Woo-ryang stated, “It is time to prepare for internal and external changes regarding offshore wind power and to focus capabilities at the level of the developers’ association,” adding, “We must not only strive for the prompt promotion of the project but also devise ways for offshore wind power and the local community to coexist.”

Meanwhile, the Shinan Offshore Wind Power Developers Association was formed last year to establish a cooperative system and respond swiftly regarding securing acceptance from residents and fishermen and grid connection, as the Shinan offshore wind power project is the world’s largest single-zone development.
