The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is conducting a training program to strengthen the capabilities of employment officers in order to support on-site training and activate employment and career paths, ensuring the safety and rights of vocational high school students.
The training will take place on the 22nd at 9 a.m. in the Bridge Hall of Avani Central Hotel, with 75 participants including vocational high school employment head teachers and employment support officers.
The Busan Office of Education plans to operate the training at least once quarterly based on key topics for school officials.
During the training, the on-site training operation manual and detailed implementation plans for the stable operation of vocational high school students' on-site training in 2023 will be introduced. Additionally, excellent cases of school on-site training and employment support will be shared to promote employment activation in vocational high schools.
Han Jong-hwan, Director of the Digital Future Education Division at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “This training will be a good opportunity to find better ways to support vocational high school students' social advancement,” adding, “We will continue to provide pre-employment and post-learning opportunities for vocational high school students and spare no effort to support their settlement in the region.”
The Busan Office of Education is implementing various policies to establish a stable support system for vocational high school students' social advancement. This year, it became the first in the nation to assign employment support officers to all vocational high schools in the district.
In addition, it operates projects such as expanding the discovery of excellent companies, supporting customized employment competency enhancement for students, providing employment competency enhancement vouchers, and managing on-site training and employment support systems.
