Investigation Launched into Police-Related Broadcast
BJ Gamseong Yeoul revealed that she visited the funeral hall of BJ Imbly (real name Im Ji-hye), who passed away, but was refused condolences by the bereaved family. Gamseong Yeoul is the person who had a verbal altercation with Imbly during a drinking broadcast shortly before her death.
On the 21st, according to the internet broadcasting industry, Gamseong Yeoul informed this fact on her YouTube community and expressed her remorse. She wrote, "The bereaved family did not want condolences, so I am leaving. I thought causing a commotion during the mourning period would hurt more, so I quietly left."
Regarding being refused condolences, she said, "I think it is natural," and added, "I will not make any excuses or shift responsibility."
She also said, "I am indeed a murderer. I am truly sorry. I even feel sorry for saying sorry. If I do not die, I will atone with my heart for the rest of my life. I also know that nothing can wash away my sin. I am sorry."
Imbly had an argument with Gamseong Yeoul while drinking with fellow BJs active in Bucheon on the 11th and went home alone afterward. Gamseong Yeoul is also known to have verbally abused him directly within the broadcasting union.
Shortly after, during a YouTube live broadcast, Imbly lamented her situation and exposed fellow BJs, then revealed a suicide note and attempted an extreme act.
As the controversy grew, on the 15th, Gamseong Yeoul claimed in a YouTube live broadcast, "(Imbly) lost her temper because the broadcast did not go her way, so who should take responsibility for that? I followed the rules from the beginning," insisting she was not at fault.

Later, on the 18th, when it was revealed that Imbly had fallen into a coma, Gamseong Yeoul shed tears during a personal broadcast, saying, "What meaning does it have for me to apologize to you all? I just hope (Imbly) lives," but on the 19th, Imbly ultimately passed away.
The police have decided to investigate Imbly's death. They also plan to look into whether the fellow BJs who were broadcasting before the extreme act have any sexual crime allegations. At the scene, there was a major fight involving physical force between Imbly and other BJs, and during the process, another participant who was mediating the fight was reported for sexual harassment, prompting police intervention.
