With this agreement, both parties have decided to promote mutual cooperation such as joint marketing to revitalize festivals hosted by the Seoul Tourism Foundation. Hyundai Department Store and the Seoul Tourism Foundation will expand their collaborative exhibition for the "Seoul Lantern Festival." Since its inception in 2009, the Seoul Lantern Festival is a large-scale event featuring various large lantern sculptures illuminated with lights, attracting 1.3 million visitors annually and representing one of Seoul’s major festivals.

The Seoul Tourism Foundation held a collaborative exhibition titled "See You Again, Lantern" at Hyundai Department Store Mia Branch for 27 days from April 18 to May 14. During the event, 200,000 people visited the exhibition, demonstrating the potential for business collaboration with Hyundai Department Store.

Both parties plan to create a pilot "urban summer retreat" at Gwanghwamun Square, providing a space where citizens and tourists can rest during the summer heat.

Jung Ji-young, Vice President of Hyundai Department Store, said, "Through this business agreement, we hope that Hyundai Department Store and the Seoul Tourism Foundation will create synergy to promote the diverse attractions of Seoul to many people."
